  4. Instructions on the GEN7 Program Manager:
  5.  
  6. The file: GEN7PR21.EXE contains the GEN7 Program Manager.  
  7.   Any icons installed in GEN7 (Desktop F6 / Icon Operations),
  8.   may be executed from the Program Manager.  To run the 
  9.   Program Manager, type the following command:
  10.  
  11.         G7PMAN [/option1 /option2 ... ]
  12.  
  13.   Where the valid options are:
  14.  
  15.         /S      Only display System icons.
  16.         /P      Only display Program icons.
  17.         /U      Only display User icons.
  18.         /T      Only display Tutor icons.
  19.         /E      Leave off the Editor icon.
  20.         /G      Leave off the GEN7 icon.
  21.         /D      Leave off the Shell icon.
  22.         /l      Do not allow anyone to exit the Program Manager
  23.                 with the GEN7 Software Lock on.
  24.   
  25.   The default (no options specified), is all categories.
  26.   Note the four options may be specified in any combination on
  27.   the command line to restrict the types of icons that are 
  28.   available to run.  This can be used to keep children from 
  29.   running the adult's programs!  Typically, all the children's 
  30.   programs may be placed under the 'Tutors' category, and the
  31.   adult's programs in all others.  The Software Lock could be 
  32.   set to 'On', and the children may play without the danger 
  33.   of costly accidents.  Note that the security level and groups 
  34.   specified when the icons were created are still in effect in 
  35.   the Program Manager, and the last person that logged on GEN7 
  36.   is the one in control of the Program Manager.  This will 
  37.   prevent any unauthorized use of installed icons in the 
  38.   Program Manager also (a child could be logged on and not be 
  39.   able to run the adult's programs).  Three icons are placed 
  40.   on the screen as the default:

  42.         Editor  The editor installed in GEN7.
  43.         Shell   The DOS Shell command line.
  44.         GEN7    GEN7 may be run from the Program Manager.
  45.  
  46.   To exit the GEN7 Program Manager, type Alt-X, just as in GEN7,
  47.   and answer 'Yes' at the prompt.
